K-12 Districts

Every student, individually tracked. No extra staff required.

Adaptcourse gives teachers and administrators real-time visibility across every classroom without adding a single staff position. Each student's actual learning position updates live, not at the end of a unit.

Three patterns that repeat across districts every semester

More budget does not fix these. Earlier, more granular information does.

Fixed-pace leaves students behind every unit

When the class moves at a fixed schedule, students who fall behind in Unit 2 enter Unit 3 without the prerequisites. By midyear, that gap compounds into a two-grade-level deficit that a single teacher cannot bridge in a 50-minute period.

No visibility into individual gaps before test day

Most district reporting shows class averages or completion percentages. Teachers find out which students have concept gaps on the day of the unit test, not during the two weeks when intervention would have helped.

PD budgets cannot scale to 1:1 tutoring

The research on 1:1 tutoring is clear: it produces the largest learning gains of any instructional format. The economics are also clear: it is impossible to staff at district scale. Adaptcourse delivers the routing logic of 1:1 tutoring through software.

The features K-12 IT directors ask for first

Standards alignment

Map your content graph to Common Core Math, NGSS, or your state standards. Every student position is reportable by standard, not just by lesson number. Curriculum coordinators can see which standards are showing the most gaps across classrooms.

Rostering via Clever and Classlink

Import your roster from Clever or Classlink. No manual CSV uploads for every semester. When students change sections or teachers, the roster update propagates automatically. IT does not need to manage per-teacher credentials.

Privacy-first design (FERPA-aligned)

Student records are treated as education records under FERPA. Adaptcourse does not use student response data for advertising, does not sell or share data with third parties outside direct service delivery, and will delete data on request. All student data is stored in US-based infrastructure. COPPA controls for under-13 programs are on our product roadmap.

Formative assessment data without a separate assessment tool

The teacher dashboard gives live prerequisite gap reports per student, updated after each response. No separate formative assessment cycle required. Teachers see each student's actual content position and flagged gaps before class starts, not after the unit test returns. Most teachers report adjusting their small-group intervention schedule within the first week.

Bellridge Unified School District

Grade 8 Mathematics Fall 2024 pilot 3 classrooms, 87 students

The challenge

Bellridge ran an 8th grade math pilot where incoming students spanned a three-grade range of prerequisite knowledge. The teacher had no reliable way to identify which students were missing fractions or ratio concepts before the algebra units began.

What changed

Within the first two weeks, the prerequisite gap detection flagged 34 students who had specific gaps in rational number operations. The teacher used the dashboard to schedule small-group intervention sessions before the algebra unit started rather than after students struggled with the unit test.

Observed outcome

The pilot team described a shift in intervention timing: from reactive (post-unit-test remediation) to proactive (gap-identified, pre-unit small-group support). The teacher reported spending less whole-class time re-teaching prerequisite concepts mid-unit because the gaps had been addressed before the unit began. Observations from the pilot team only, no external benchmark sources cited.
